The Director, India operations will functionally and organically report to the Associate Dean for Programs and International of KEDGE Business School in France. The Director is the Head of Kedge activities in India, with the main mission of setting up operations, overseeing the functioning of activities, development of new opportunities and representation of Kedge in India and the geographical area of influence. In addition, the Director, India Operations will hold responsibilities inherent to such a position, particularly in terms of teaching and service.

For this, the Director will collaborate directly with the Kedge main campus relevant staff and directors as well as with the local partner.

Oversight of Academic Operations

• Implementation and follow up of academic programs of Kedge at Vijaybhoomi University (VU), specifically
  • Sourcing faculty for the deployment of the different programs, whether validating existing VU faculty or collaborating in the recruitment of new faculty ascribed to Kedge VU campus in coordination with the Dean of KEDGE
  • Coordinating with the different program directors of Kedge the expected quality, learning outcomes, and delivery of the different programs
  • Coordinating with VU and Kedge Accreditations department the different aspects for ensuring compliance with the different accrediting bodies, in particular organizing the pertinent data collection for accreditation and other purposes
  • Follow up and implementation of quality assurance processes and metrics if necessary
  • Guidance of faculty to ensure appropriate standards of teaching, being available to mentor, coach, and correct behaviors when necessary in coordination with VU
  • Assurance of standards of teaching and quality of programs on site, collecting feedback from faculty, students and partner as deemed necessary
  • Study and propose the launch of new academic programs deemed of interest

Geographical Development of Kedge

• Increasing activities of Kedge in the geographical area of influence of India and neighboring areas, particularly, but not limited to
  • Establishing collaboration opportunities with academic institutions for research projects, student mobility and recruitment progression agreements as deemed appropriate for each type of institution approached and in close coordination with the Department of International Relations of Kedge
  • Creating links with corporations both public and private to advance the connections of Kedge with the regional ecosystem of companies and public administrations aiming to provide services or programs to such organizations
  • Exploration of new opportunities in India and its area of influence regarding executive education
  • Close collaboration in all recruitment activities in the area, particularly, but not limited to, delivery of master classes, presentations, visits and other actions that might be deemed appropriate to ensure recruitment of students to Kedge VU programs and Kedge France
  • Close coordination with the Department of International Relations of Kedge for the mobility of students from France to India and its region and assistance to the DRI and students as deemed necessary

Representation

• Representing KEDGE BUSINESS SCHOOL in the area of influence before public and private corporations, government bodies and accreditation agencies as necessary
  • Ensuring high visibility of Kedge before the previously mentioned bodies
  • Attending events and act in representation of Kedge as its highest authority in the region in absence of other Kedge officials
  • Formalizing and deploying a public relations plan to guarantee Kedge is perceived as one of the key actors in the market across the region
  • Interacting with the French authorities in the area of influence, particularly Campus France and French diplomatic authorities to maintain an optimum level of information flow to/from Kedge to the aforementioned bodies and ensuring an optimal coordination and problem solving particularly in regards to the issuance of visas for students coming to Kedge France

The Director may be called upon to carry out various academic missions. These can include teaching activities in India and/or France, participation in committees and selection juries, as well as contributing to curriculum development and the continuous improvement of Kedge programs, particularly those in India.
